Mondialtex is an important Italian company, for over 70 years a reference point in the national and European textile market for the healthcare and hotel sectors.
Founded in Verona in 1953 as a small family-run tailor’s shop, it grew rapidly and changed orientation. In fact, in addition to niche tailoring production, it placed orders for the supply of linen and professional clothing for hospitals, rest homes, nursing homes and religious institutes, reaching as far as the Papal State.
Today Mondialtex, thanks to a careful choice of raw materials and a constant renewal and expansion of the product range, is one of the leading companies on the national and international market, proposing itself as a valid and sole supplier of fabrics, linens, table linen, sponges, professional clothing for the health care and hospitalisation, hotel, wellness, naval and industrial laundry sectors both in Italy and abroad, also offering a product distribution service, throughout Europe, based on the needs of the individual customer.
Constant growth and the desire to offer its customers a high level of service has led Mondialtex to revise the shipping area dedicated to order preparation.
Ferretto Spa supported the company in the transition from traditional storage on static racking to automatic management thanks to 7 Vertimag vertical lift modules.
By making the most of all the space available in height, the vertical warehouses have revolutionised and reorganised order preparation activities, totally digitising processes.
Products waiting to be shipped to the customer are stored inside the drawers of the vertical storage systems with order, precision and cleanliness.
The alphanumeric LED bar and laser pointer, accessories supplied with the Vertimag, have facilitated product picking and storage activities. Operators are in fact guided in picking by lighted indications and infographics that indicate the product and quantity of pieces to be picked, speeding up activities and reducing errors.
The warehouse management software for the vertical lift modules, produced in-house by Ferretto, is interconnected with the company’s ERP and allows Mondialtex to have real-time control of stocks.
The insertion of the vertical storage system is part of a wider strategic project of company modernisation that has included the installation of 2 automatic stacker crane warehouses, designed and manufactured by Wipro Ferretto, for the management of both rolls of fabric in production and the storage of large volumes of finished product.
