After presenting the latest version of the Vertimag storage system for the first time at an Italian exhibition in November, the Ferretto Spa returns to the MECSPE exhibition in Bologna, from 9 to 11 June, with a new subsystem. This time, its Put & Go cart will be under the spotlight together with the automated vertical storage systems of this pioneering company. Thanks to 12 Put To Light (PTL) stations, this system facilitates order preparation, directing operators with specific light indications: picking becomes faster, order fulfillment becomes more efficient, and all operations become safer and more accurate. Visitors to the Bologna exhibition will be able to learn more about Put & Go as well as the Ferretto’s other logistics solutions at Hall 33 Stand B36. The newest subsystem, Put & Go, is a cart consisting of a 3-shelf metal shelving unit, in which each shelf is equipped with four Put To Light (PTL) stations. Each PTL corresponds to a location, equipped with an identification barcode label generated by the Ferretto Group’s WMS. Each location corresponds to a container where the operator places the items of a specific order list, according to the instructions displayed on a 5-digit alphanumeric display. The operation is confirmed by means of a button to which up to 6 different colors can be associated, relating to the storage systems from which the operator must carry out the picking. The cart has a steel structure with a maximum load capacity of 300 kg, WiFi connection, and lithium batteries to guarantee long hours of operation and flexibility of movement. The Put & Go cart will be presented along with immersive videos and case studies of different automatic storage systems and solutions for integrated logistics produced by the Ferretto Spa: the Vertimag vertical storage system and those for slabs and bars.
Thanks to these solutions, which are chosen every day by leading industrial companies in Italy and around the world, the Ferretto Spa has been a leader in the storage and materials handling sector for over 65 years now.
