Battisti is a trading company in the province of Cuneo, which has been operating in the window and door hardware and furniture accessories sector for over fifty years.
Founded as a retail shop, over the years the company has moved towards a different type of sale, until it became a company that mainly caters to professionals in the woodworking and door and window frame industries.
Among the main products dealt with technical locking systems for windows and doors, door and window automations, handles and co-ordinates for furniture, technical accessories for the furniture industry, paints and wood preservation treatments, all from a range of 30,000 references.
Dynamic and continuously expanding, Battisti’s strengths lie in quality, enhanced by the presence of highly specialized personnel.
Constant growth has required the company to take a leap in the management and storage of products and references, to provide its customers with an increasingly efficient, fast and precise service.
Battisti, faced with the need to better reorganise its supply chain, chose to rely on Ferretto, who, after a careful study of the sector, identified vertical warehouses as the ideal solution to better manage the vast range of references in the catalogue.
The process was carried out in two stages: firstly, 3 Vertimag vertical warehouses were introduced and then 4 more were added for a total occupied surface area of 88m2, giving the company a useful storage area of 665m2.
This advantage made it possible to reorganise the space by making the most of the available heights and gaining useful square footage to be allocated to other activities.
All the warehouses are equipped with the Ergo-Tech picking bay, a system exclusive to Ferretto, which allows operators to work on a plane at the same height in perfect ergonomics and safety.
One of the 7 warehouses is also equipped with opposing bays that increase efficiency by allowing operators to carry out refill operations on one side of the warehouse while keeping stock levels constant, at the same time proceeding on the other side with order fulfilment operations for their customers.
